EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon Ducks running back LeGarrette Blount, suspended for punching a player on the Boise State defense in the season opener, may yet get another swing at playing football in the Pac-10 conference.
But that decision was not announced in the Ducks' weekly press conference.
Blount met over the weekend with Pac-10 Conference Commissioner Larry Scott, University of Oregon President Richard Lariviere, athletics director Mike Belotti and Ducks football coaches, according to Sports Illustrated.
Details: Reverse play on Blount suspension?
Blount was suspended on Sept. 4 for round-housing a Boise State defensive back. He had to be forcibly removed from the field in the Ducks season-opening loss at Boise.
First-year head coach Chip Kelly at the time said Blount's actions were unacceptable for the football program or for the university.
